23/04/08 At our March Club Meeting Linton Video released the new double DVD/Video compilation of the 2007 Club Year. It comprises '40 Years of Steam' our 40th Anniversary rally and 'Around The Country Roads For Cancer' covering our Annual and Ladies Road Run.

05/03/08 We had a good attendance at out February Club meeting for the visit from Peri Gillespie and Vivienne McMaster from the National Association of Crohn's & Collitis (One of our chosen charities this year). Peri gave us an interesting discussion about what the organisation does and what life is like for sufferers of the disease. The evening was rounded off with a special tea and a video on early Landrovers
05/03/08 The 2008 Event List has been updated.
  • 27th September Kilcronaghan Vintage Rally at Kilcronaghan Activity Centre, Tobermore
This event was previously listed as being the 20th September but the organisers have decided to move the event back one week until 27th September.
25/02/08 The 2008 Event List is hot off the press and ready to go. We will be distributing paper copies at our next Club meeting in addtion to posting it here. So far the event list has raised £750 for our chosen charity the NACC and we would like to thank everyone who contributed details of their events.
25/02/08 This year one of our chosen charities is the National Association for Crohns and Colitis. At the February meeting Peri Gillespie from the Co.Antrim Branch will be giving us a brief insight into what it is and how it affects peoples lives.
25/02/08 There was no December Club meeting and our January meeting was membership renewal night. When had hoped to have a talk from Alistair Robertson about the Gray tractor Company and his own collection but unfortunately due to other commitments he could not make it.

25/02/08 Although things have been a little quiet on here it's not a reflection of the life of the Club. At our AGM in November Rodney Getty stood down as Chairman after a very successful term in the chair. Bertie Hamilton our vice-chairman has stepped in as the new Chairman. During 2007 we presented cheques to Cancer Research for £22635 and Macmillan Nurses for £4063 none of which would have been possible without the generous support of our own members and the wider vintage community in both the North and South of Ireland.
07/08/07 The winner of the Rally Programme £500 prize draw which was made at our Club Meeting on 25th July was Mr Andy Wylie from Ballyclare.
04/08/07 Our 40th Anniversary Rally was a great success despite bad weather during late afternoon both days. More to follow later.

04/08/07 Pictures of our 2007 Ploughing Match have been added to the Photo Gallery. Time permitting news and photos of the Ladies Run and our Annual Road Run will follow shortly.
04/08/07 (Revision 10 Issued 31 July 2007)of the 2007 Event List has been revised following a change of date.
  • Due to bad weather Gleanvy & District Vintage Club had to cancel their rally in June. It is hoped that it will now be held on Sat 29th September 2007.

  • Drumquin Vintage and Threshing Club 1st Rally has moved from Sat 30th June to Sat 1st September 2007.
01/06/07 At our last Club meeting on May we had a lesson in basic first aid which was very informative.
01/06/07 Although the closing date for entry forms has passed we are still accepting entry forms for any of our events it is too late to be included in the programme for the rally. You must enter in advance for the Ladie's and Men's Road Runs because we need to have an idea of number for catering purposes.

24/02/07 Due to the tragic death of our Treasurer Lawrence Woolf we have cancelled our Special Ferguson Night which was to be held on 28 February. We hope to run it at another time and will post the details when known.

09/02/07 At our next Club meeting on 28 February we are going to have a special Ferguson Night at 8pm in the Chimney Corner Football Club, Randalstown Road, Antrim. We are pleased that our guest speaker will be Nick Batelle from the 20 Parts Company.
09/02/07 The 2007 Event List is hot off the press. The most up to date version of the list is always available from the website. Version numbers are always included in the top right corner e.g. (Revision 1 Issued 09 Feb 2007)
08/02/07 At our last Club meeting on 31 January we had traditional thatching demonstration by Gerry Agnew who is one of the last people practicing this skill commercially in Northern Ireland.
08/02/07 Pressures of work have meant that the website hasn't changed much for a while but over the next few months we are hoping to re-vamp the site including a new look.
